HLH loves to have fun and help people at the same time! In the past we have done school supply handouts, Fall Festivals, Christmas parties along with adopting children for Christmas and Easter events. Covid changed many of our outreaches into smaller more personal events. However, we are always looking for opportunities to bless! Our God is a generous God, and we seek to be generous in all we give and do! Currently we go once a month to play games and other activities with the Youth Development Center kids and staff in order to create relationships and use the opportunities we have to share God and His love with them. We also have people come and share their stories of redemption with them and we take time to pray with them and encourage. We are planning to start going twice a month in 2023.
A food pantry, furniture, household items, clothing and children’s items are available to anyone in need.
In addition, we work alongside of Foundations Pregnancy Support Services to give these things to the women and their families that have been affected by addiction.
We also give holiday meals and gifts to families so that they can enjoy these family times without the stress of extra financial burdens. Donations are always needed especially with toiletries, meats and children’s items and clothes.
