HEAVENS LIGHT HOUSE NEWS 3/08/2022 Dear Partners & Friends, February’s house church was in Dallastown and featured Amy and Gavyn Gotwalt sharing about their trip to Africa! Their excitement and commitment to serving others overseas is contagious! We also had a zoom meeting with our friends in Uganda about going back and ministering there again in November. Our time at the Youth Development Center was so much fun! We played Minute to Win It games with them and then Sarah shared a short word of “Comfort” using a stuffed animal as a prop and talking to the kids about Father God being the Comforter. We were able to talk with a few of the kids and one of the girls said “It’s hard to believe in God when you are in here…” One of the volunteers was able to pray with another girl about her court date. A counselor who was with the kids said “she hasn’t seen the kids get along with each other forever. The kids really liked it” We took small stuffed animals to give to them so they could remember the word “Comfort” when they looked at them or hugged them. We are praying that they would then remember that God is the God of comfort and that they would experience His comfort! We go back March 28th!! Volunteers are always welcome! If we can get enough volunteers, we would really like to go twice each month. That would give us more opportunity to keep getting to know the kids better and give us more opportunity to share Jesus with them!

We have a Spring Wreath Fundraiser April 8th. Kits are $30 and you must RSVP to Sarah by April 1st to save a spot!
Easter is right around the corner, and we are giving an Easter dinner and baskets to families from the Foundations Pregnancy Services that we worked with at Christmas time. We also have other families that we will bless as well. If you are interested in providing food or baskets for children, please contact us for more information. It’s yard sale season! We will have a yard sale on Saturday April 30th. Items to sell and volunteers are needed! This is a great way for people to be introduced to HLH and what we do. We have many opportunities, to bless people, pray with them and make friends at these sales.

*A storage unit or warehouse for furniture, household supplies and clothing. *We are losing our current storage as of JUNE 1st.
